Agness Wine Cellars

Agness Wine Cellars

Agness Wine Cellars is the newest award-winning winery located in the heart of New York’s Finger Lakes region. Each of our vintages, the 2015, 2016 and 2017 Finger Lakes Semi-Dry Riesling, produced from white Vinifera Riesling grapes sourced from vineyards on the East and West sides of Seneca Lake over multiple harvest dates.

We believe in producing high-quality wines made from locally sourced grapes, with the vintage and variety clearly indicated on the label. Our wines are not cut, topped, or blended with other wine grapes. Our goal is to preserve and celebrate the great natural taste and terroir of the Finger Lakes. That is what makes us unique.

Agness Wine Cellars has considered among the Premium Semi-Dry Rieslings produced in the Finger Lakes since first being introduced and continues to be recognized by many of Wine Spectator’s List Where to Drink Well restaurants across New York.  With 2017 vintage, our reach will now extend into the metro New York market and surrounding downstate counties.

Even the Portuguese Cork Association has noticed that Agness Wine Cellars finishes the bottling process by incorporating 100% natural, Grade 1 cork to preserve and provide proper ageing of our Riesling.  The Agness Wine Cellars Riesling was voted Best New Wine in America by Beverage Industry magazine, Featured Wine of the Month in Bartender magazine, and ranked in the Top Five of all Finger Lakes Semi-Dry Riesling by both Wine Enthusiast and Wine Spectator in our first vintage.  With over eleven articles written about this new winemaker’s Riesling, it has been called “the Best Semi-Dry Riesling ever produced in the Finger Lakes” – Lento Restaurant, and “a delightfully floral semi-dry from the Finger Lakes” – Washington Post.

Agness Wine Cellars had been named a Finalist in the Food Quality and Safety Award Nationwide talks to the methods and practices in the processing of our Riesling.

Blue Toad Hard Cider

Blue Toad Hard Cider

Born in a barn, Blue Toad Cider honors the tradition and legacy of America’s first preferred beverage by brewing an all-natural and eminently drinkable hard cider using locally grown apples in Western New York. Rather than solely using European-style tart and bitter apples, Blue Toad Hard Cider uses a cider blend of three to four different apple varieties (replete with natural seasonal variation) grown in areas near Rochester, New York.

Thousand Islands Winery

Thousand Islands Winery

Thousand Islands Winery® is the largest farm winery in Northern New York State and is located along the majestic St. Lawrence River on a historic forty acre farmstead established in 1836. The Winery began its operations in 2002 with the purchase of the farm by Steve Conaway and his wife Erika. The primary grape varieties being planted in the Thousand Islands Region include Frontenac, Frontenac Gris, Marquette, and La Crescent, which were developed by the University of Minnesota. The development of these cold-hardy grapes is the very reason we now enjoy the benefits of the ever-expanding Northern New York wine region.

Thousand Islands Winery® officially opened to the public in 2003 with a starting inventory of 1,100 gallons of wine. The Winery experienced rapid growth and purchased an additional thirty-acre farm on Wellesley Island in 2013 and now produces over fifty thousand gallons of wine annually. As of 2015, thanks to the Conaways’ vision, initiative, and risk taking, multiple other wineries now exist in Northern New York.

The Winery has been gaining recognition in various wine competitions across the country since 2006. From 2007-2016, 168 medals have been awarded. The medal list includes the 2010 New York State Wine & Food Classic Double Gold and Best of Class for Wellesley Island White, the 2011 Indy International Wine Competition’s Double Gold and Best of Class for Saint Lawrence Red, the 2011 Florida State Fair International Double Gold for Frontenac, the 2012 International Riverside International Wine Competition Gold (Best of Class, Chairman’s Award, Unanimous) for Marquette, the 2013 Finger Lakes International Wine Competition Double Gold for North Country Red, the 2014 New York Food & Wine Classic Gold for Marquette and Frontenac, the 2015 Florida State Fair Gold & New York State Fair Golds for Marquette,  the 2015 International Women’s Wine Competition Gold for Pinot Grigio and the 2016 Finger Lakes International Wine Competition Gold for Moscato and Semi-Dry Riesling. The Winery is still entering competitions to date and hopes to receive many more medals in the future!

Tommyrotter Distillery at Corn Hill Arts Festival

TommyRotter Distillery

“The Tommyrotters’ Club was a band of rebellious artisans in the early 20th century who broke rank from the Arts and Crafts Movement to create for creation’s sake. They sought adventure, mischief and inspiration in nature. Honoring their industrious spirit of back, hand and heart, Tommyrotter Distillery crafts small batch spirits.

Tommyrotter Distillery opened its doors in July 2015. Founded by Bobby Finan and Sean Insalaco, the distillery resides in a 116-year-old factory in Buffalo, NY’s historic hydraulic manufacturing district. Currently distributed in New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Pennsylvania, Tommyrotter Distillery is developing a loyal regional following in the Northeast for its great tasting products and strikingly clean packaging. The young distillery holds Double Gold, Best in Show and Silver medals from the New York World Wine & Spirits Competition and the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.”

Victorianbourg Wine Estate

Victorianbourg Wine Estate

Nestled on the gentle slopes along the south shore of Lake Ontario, Victorianbourg Wine Estate labors to create world class wines from the classic European wine grapes. The majority of our wines are designed to complement food, relatively dry, with only minimal oak and then only when the effect is to add complexity to the wine, never to overpower the taste of the fruit. We also offer a line of modern sweeter wines.
