Lindsey Saunders

Corn Hill Arts Festival Entertainment

Lindsey Saunders  is a Taylor Guitars Artist Partner (May 2014), with notable performances  at events such as the Sundance Music  Fest, Boulder International Film Fest, Durango Songwriters  EXPO, SXSW, and CMJ Music Marathon.  On her debut EP release “Nothing Normal” she collaborated with the likes of  Lisa Harriton (Smashing Pumpkins), Jason Ganberg, Gayle Day, Ido Sasson, and Alex Balderston   Saunders has received critical acclaim for her work being noted as an artist whose artistry and poise as a songwriter and  performer demands to be both seen and heard.

The instrumental  “Miles Before Sleep” was released November 4, 2014 . Vastly different from her indie pop debut in 2012, her talents shine as a composer in her own right.  Geared towards the classical guitar listeners, the four movements were born out of Catherine Tiso’s contemporary dance Diverge/Connect (2013 – Chicago).  The composition has received worldwide reviews as a classical crossover hit. The song “Acceptance” from the release was recently included in the Roadtrip Nation – Participants Media show The Road to Teach is currently being aired on PilotTV.  Both “Nothing Normal” and “Miles Before Sleep” have been added to Pandora Radio’s digital library of notable music.

Work has begun on her next indie pop release with Grammy-winning Producer/Engineer John Seymour, whose credits include U2, Dave Matthews and Santana and  Kenny Aronoff on drums  whose list of collaborations includes Bruce Springsteen,  Ray Charles,  Melissa Etheridge, Michelle Branch, Sheryl Crow, and Ringo Starr to name a few.  Though the release has no title or drop date yet, fans worldwide know that the music of Lindsey Saunders continues to evolve, surprise, and impress the listener.

“In the short time since we were first introduced to indie artist Lindsey Saunders, we already in danger of bec“oming a lifelong fan. What some have called a ‘triple threat’ (a statement we are happy to underwrite) Saunders self-confidence is backed up by a voice that walks a tightrope between a raspy alto and a quavering vocal runs, prodigious, nuanced acoustic rhythm guitar smackdowns, and taut, unorthodox roots-inspired songwriting.” Music Zeitgeist February Artist of the Month 2014 Lindsey Saunders

‘ “[Miles Before Sleep”, through Saunders’s heartfelt guitar work, possesses more raw emotion than many four or five piece bands.’ Colorado Music Buzz  November 2014

“Lindsey’s style is very much an indie pop-rock style with inflections of country, chord driven melodies and infectious toe-tapping strumming  – and I should mention delivered with a mixed plectrum and plucked right hand technique (the first artist with a plectrum on Classical Guitar n Stuff!!).” Nicole Rodgers, Classical Guitar N’ Stuff Australia
