Press Release - Corn Hill Arts Festival 2019

Rochester, NY, May 6, 2019 – The Corn Hill Arts Festival, with support from MVP Health Care for the sixth year in a row, will celebrate the 11th Annual Emerging Artists Expo on Saturday and Sunday, July 13 and 14. Each year, the Festival provides young artists between the ages of 15 and 25 the opportunity to exhibit their creations and interact with the local community.

“The Corn Hill Arts Festival is a perfect opportunity for young, emerging artists throughout Rochester to showcase their talents and highlight their impact on the community,” said Denise Gonick, MVP Health Care’s Chief Executive Officer, and Director. “MVP Health Care is pleased to sponsor the Expo as a way to spotlight these talented new artists who are an inspiration to all of us at MVP.”

Artists are invited to apply to be featured at MVP’s Emerging Artists Expo. The selected artists are provided with a 10’x10’ booth, publicity, exposure, and a central payment station. The Festival also allows these talented people to engage with the local community and build relationships, in addition to being eligible for prize money.

“The Emerging Artists Expo is a great avenue for young artists to get experience,” said Kristopher Kodweis, 2nd place winner of the 2018 MVP Emerging Artists Expo. “MVP’s sponsorship makes it so the Expo can continue providing young artists with an amazing opportunity.”

To apply, interested artists must complete the online or mail-in application by May 31; accepted applicants will be notified by June 10. For more information or to apply online, visit: www.cornhillartsfestival.com/emergingartists.

The Emerging Artists Expo will be located on Eagle Street during the Festival. Visitors are encouraged to stop by and engage with the artists through feedback, browsing or purchasing their work.
