Steve Grills and The Roadmasters
May 22, 2012
Sunday 1:25 – 2:55 | Gazebo Stage
For Steve Grills, the Blues has been a life-long journey. Growing up he heard the recordings of Big Bill Broonzy, Leadbelly and Lightnin’ Hopkins. He has searched out the roots of Rock and Roll, uncovering many great artists who have influenced and inspired him, including Robert Lockwood Jr., Earl Hooker, Freddie King and Albert Collins. Steve and his band draw their repetoire from these and other artists, allowing contemporary audiences the opprotunity to discover the vitality of the music of these legendary and influential musicians.
Steve’s latest CD release After Hours charted at #39 on the Roots Music Report’s Top 100 blues Albums for 2011.
