Oldest Daughter is an indie/folk band from Rochester, New York composed of young musicians. Micky Fitzpatrick on bass, Selena Ortiz on guitar, Anna Day on fiddle, Stevie Skvarek on drums, and Frances Lovett on vocals and rhythm guitar. The band is influenced by musicians such as Joni Mitchell, Noah Kahan, Fleetwood Mac, and The Lumineers blending pop and folk in their original music. With lyrics written by front woman Frances Lovett, Oldest Daughter’s sound explores vulnerability and nostalgia. Lovett, who released a solo album titled “Unromantic” last year, writes songs that tell of love found and lost, of heartbreak and redemption, and of this place that is Upstate and Home.
