Traffic & Parking for Residents

Where and when can I obtain a parking permit if I need one?

Residents who live on the closed festival streets and who require parking permits should obtain a permit. There are only 200 spaces so we can only give one per household. You may pick up a parking pass at the following:

  • Festival Information or Security Tent on the corner of Frederick Douglass & Adams Street after Noon on Friday and all weekend.

Vehicles parked on the festival streets during the restricted hours, will be towed. We regret any inconvenience. Please, adhere to the parking restrictions to avoid the fees and inconvenience.

Vehicle Traffic:

Prohibited from 8:30 AM Saturday and Sunday until streets are reopened at 7:00 PM Saturday and 6:00 PM Sunday.  The Rochester Police Department determines and authorizes when the streets may reopen, and these times may vary.

Resident Parking:

If you do not have off-street parking available, you will need a permit to park in one of the Resident Parking lots. Please plan accordingly as vehicle traffic is not permitted during festival hours. You will need to move your car to a resident parking lot before 8:30 AM.

We thank you for your patience and commitment to Corn Hill.

Managing Street Traffic during Setup and Takedown

The festival brings trucks, tents and people who are not familiar with our community. To ensure safety and reduce traffic issues, one-way signs will go up and one-way traffic will be enforced starting 6:00 AM Saturday through 7:00 PM Sunday. Please note the accompanying map that identifies the traffic flow that will be enforced by the Rochester Police Department during the morning setup and afternoon takedown periods on Saturday and Sunday.

Please help your community and festival volunteers have a safe festival by “going with the flow”. After 8:30 AM, the Rochester Police Department and barricades will prohibit traffic on the affected streets. In addition, members of the Festival Management Team will be available to assist with questions to ensure everyone has a positive Corn Hill Festival experience. The continued cooperation of residents in adhering to the parking and traffic flow restrictions will enable the setup and takedown process to proceed smoothly.
