Hailing from Rochester NY, Ryan Johnson and Glen Cummings bring elements of Funk, Soul, and R&B to the Jazz world. Their unique sound is a result of both of their dedication to the craft, including studying and acquiring music degrees from various Universities, arranging and recording for national musicians, and country-wide touring.
Ryan is a composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist that has international acclaim in the music industry. His band Escape Terrain has also gained traction and notoriety in the music world. On top of performing, he is a doctoral candidate that contributes research in the field of music education, composition, and theory. Additionally, he holds endorsements from D’Angelico Guitars and Curt Mangan Strings. His unique works can be heard on all streaming platforms. Glen Cummings, the founder and guitarist of world renowned jazz fusion group Cabo Frio, has been performing and writing for over fifty years as well as teaching guitar privately and at acclaimed Universities. His work with Cabo Frio earned him international fame and invaluable experiences with leading industry artists.
Individually, they have opened and collaborated with countless mainstream artists such as, Sharon Jones, Maynard Ferguson, Charlie Hunter, Spyro Gyra, and Tower of Power to name a few.
