THE BUSKERS. This acoustic original roots, americana and folk trio features a jazz-tinged sound that digs deep into the roots of American popular music. The band includes Kathy Sommer (Zimpfer) on acoustic and electric violins, Craig Jaster on bass, keyboards, and accordion, and Paul Hubert on acoustic and electric guitars. Their repertoire ignores traditional boundaries between jazz, folk, pop, and rock and their sound is defined by deep respect for the craft of songwriting and arranging. In performance, they play a lively fusion of their original acoustic folk and pop, New Orleans-influence R&B, and jazz.
