The Beale Street Blues Band

Corn Hill Arts Festival Entertainment

The Beale Street Blues Band was formed in March 1998, playing every Thursday night at the Beale Street Café, in Rochester, for the next seven years. The band members are all seasoned veterans of the Rochester music scene: Steve Lyons (Guitar, Vocals), Sam Gruttadauria (Keyboards, Vocals), Donny Howcroft (Drums, Percussion), and the newest member, Paul Lindsley (replacing the recently relocated Ted Mosher on Bass, Vocals). Their first CD, “Thursday Night Live,” was released in April 2000, recorded live at Beale Street, with the help of many special guests. Volume II, recorded in the same manner in 2004, was released in October 2005, again featuring many of Rochester’s best musicians as guests. The band’s third CD, entitled “Loserville,” is all studio recordings, including several new originals, a few choice guests, and some of their best cover tunes.

The Beale Street Blues Band has always played tunes from several different genres, and with a number of originals on their playlist, you’re sure to hear something you like, something you recognize, and always something that makes you want to dance.

This will be the band’s third appearance at CHAF in the last 14 years.
