The trio, “Wingin’ It” is a spinoff group of the formerly popular Rochester Irish band, “The Wild Geese.” Two former members, Peg Dolan and Kevin Reynolds, joined forces with fiddler, Sharon McHargue, and decided to mix several genres of music, including Celtic, blues, bluegrass, country and pop to deliver a lively and eclectic mix of entertaining music. A “Wingin’ It” performance can include anything from Johnny Cash, to the Clancy Brothers, to Steve Earle, to the Beatles!
Peg Dolan is a veteran of over 30 years in Rochester based rock, pop, Irish, and blues bands, as well as a seasoned solo performer, playing guitar and doing vocals. Kevin Reynolds spent his first years in music with several popular Rochester rock bands, including the popular band “Private Eyes.” Kevin plays guitar, mandolin and does vocals. Sharon McHargue has played in various bluegrass groups, and was part of a Rochester rock band called “Calico.” She plays fiddle, viola and mandolin. Together, they offer a spirited mix of genres delivered with a spirit of friendship and good times.
