Blü is comprised of Mike Pallini / Vocal, Mark Balestra / Guitar, Mark Terranova / Bass, Dave Cohen / Drums, and Casey Filiaci on keys. The name – “Blü”
These veterans of hundreds of recording sessions, bands, musical theatre pits, and of every kind of music imaginable have come together to play for you. The band plays very cool music from the 70’s to the present – Imagine, if you will, taking music from artists such as like Steely Dan, Toto, Michael McDonald, Hall & Oates, Van Morrison, Gino Vannelli, Paul Simon, Steve Miller, Blood Sweat & Tears, etc., and injecting them with a steroid concoction of jazz, rock, blues and funk and having it being played by five of this area’s most talented players ….. you are just beginning to get the idea of what Blü is all about. The music is performed with uncompromising tightness, and musicianship, but mostly evocative and passionate. Each player is often individually featured, and combined with Mike Pallini’s smooth and tasteful vocals, an exciting new sound is readily apparent. Blü may be a color and it may be a feeling but most of all Blü is a musical experience that should NOT be missed!!!
