Rita Coulter & Don Christiano

Saturday 10:30 – 12:10 | 27 Atkinson Street
Don and RitaRita Coulter and Don Christiano are two-thirds of the Americana/alt country band, Hunu. With their fellow band members, they have played host to Rochester’s annual Bob Dylan Birthday show, as well as a yearly Christmas benefit for the Center for Youth Services, providing back-up to a legion of Rochester’s best performers. Rita spent the nineties as a member of the Colorblind James Experience, while Don has performed with such notable groups as Don’t Call Me Junior, The Meteors and the legendary Dave Donnelly. In addition, Don takes his love of the Beatles to the people in a bi-weekly Beatles Night celebration.

As a duo, Don and Rita continue to share their love of Americana music, blending their voices and talent into warm and earthy harmonies. With a strong background in the country tradition of such greats as Hank Williams and Patsy Cline, they have lovingly embraced the genre of alt country and artists like Gram Parsons, the Byrds, Blue Rodeo and the Old 97s. They bring a heartfelt enjoyment of making music with them to the stage.

Looking to get in touch with someone about getting involved in next year’s Bob Dylan birthday celebration. Or other musical events. Do you have info?
