Fred Vine is a singer and fingerstyle guitarist from Rochester, NY.  He is a master of “Piedmont” style and Delta bottleneck slide guitar. His versatile guitar techniques are displayed in a repertoire rich with traditional blues, compelling instrumentals and captivating  songs.

Fred’s musical tastes are eclectic. A performance could include acoustic blues, jazz, original compositions , American Songbook and contemporary songs. His influences are rooted in bluesmen  Rev. Gary Davis, Robert Johnson, Son House, Mississippi John Hurt, Jelly Roll Morton and certainly Chet Atkins.  With a stage presence that is laid back yet engaging and witty, he easily connects with his audience.

Fred has several recordings to his credit. “Mister Freddy Blues” (a compendium of roots blues), “Crystal River Blues” (a mixed bag of jazz, blues and contemporary), “Cruising on the Belle” and “Genesee Delta Stomp”, which showcases Fred’s original music. As a seasoned performer, Fred has shared the stage with Muddy Waters, John Hammond, Guy Davis, Dave Van Ronk and many others.
